I live in the household that the animals pictured live, am a member of the organization noted, am a supporter off the woman shown, and in June 2008, after listening to Clinton’s suspension speech via radio, became a tentative supporter of the man shown, believing that there was no way Mr. Obama was going to win as the Democratic nominee because the only candidate that could go toe to toe with Mr. McCain was suspending. What she demonstrated in the primary season was characteristics of epiphany if you like, stay true to purpose, recognition of problems, and an attempt to rectify mistakes, mis-assumptions, and listening to the people she was trying to win over. You screw up, you figure out how and why, then you change course.
I am a physical therapist, modern term- health care professional. In have observed people’s body language professionally for 29 years and personally for 56 years. Extensive experience (more than I would have personally chosen had I had the choice), with group dynamics, group behavior, authoritarian pressure tactics designed to have a group and its leader do what they want you to do, with all sorts of tactics based upon the human central nervous system and its exquisitely intimate relationship with the homo sapient psyche,
I have attempted to study the human being, justify why some humans act as they do. Comparative behavior with other animals, genetic similarities with same, knowing embryology and what each human being represents in evolution of mammals, has led to a knowledge of self. Use of this knowledge on the presidential election process has led me to identify with Hillary Clinton. It has led me to me (Freudian slip), me to BE disturbed about Barack Obama as a realistic presidential nominee, then candidate; red flags up on authoritarianism without experience, ambiguous and inexperienced, lack of experiential knowledge backing up forceful statements implying understanding, grasp, of what is being talked about. I can distinguish him from others like him but been there done that in terms of blah, blah, blah, trust me.
My choice now is simple, McCain or Obama.
I identify with McCain because of his negative prisoner of war experience and what he did with it. I identify with how he has carried on despite the residual done to his body. I admire how he has made a positive out of these negative, painful, disruptive experiences.
His being a tortured prisoner of war, broken temporarily with only a few to support and validate him as a person, from behind walls, not in the comfort of their closeness. He has a normal central nervous system that responds to torturous infliction of pain and an extraordinary response to it.
I take extreme exception with Mr. and Mrs. Obama’s children being used in the photo which is the front page of his political website. This says much about the man and confirms my suspicions about the integrity of him, who in the end is responsible for all of his campaign’s actions. I was exploited as a child through images designed to entice less than morally upstanding persons to view me for the purpose of gathering power- making money. I know what it feels like from the child’s perspective. The similarity is children being used before they are old enough to understand what they are being asked to do, to participate in. Children generally accede to requests from their parents and or authority figures.
My action during this process of presidential selection is to state my truth and live by it, as best I can. My voice needs to be heard, the blog needs to be written, come what may.
